    Thanks for the hike writeup. Readers should know that volunteers from Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (www.patc.net) maintain all these hiking trails. In particular, the extensive renovation of the steps on Buck Hollow Trail was the work of volunteers over a two year (plus) time frame, coordinated by PATC volunteer Patrick Wilson, the overseer for that trail, who put in many hours of his own time to achieve this stunning result. He deserves all the credit he can get.

    Thanks Leejay14, I couldn't believe how perfect the trails were and how much time must've gone into those steps! Kudos to Patrick Wilson and all of his hard work!
