I'm still watching the news I hope everyone will be safe the way it looks it is coming to dc area lots of rain and wind flooding my god bliss us all

I lived in the DC area much of my life...and though I'm now living in the Knoxville, TN area, my heart and prayers go out to the many friends and family who still live in the projected path of Irene! Thank God that He has answered my prayers that the storm would weaken...but I'm praying that it would disappear all together before it reaches you! Lord have Mercy!

My understanding is that Irene is a large storm. If she stays off the coast, will we still see some beneficial rain in the DC suburbs?
