the title of this is very misleading. i assumed it meant we were going to have a big snow storm!
OK, There isn't much snow this winter! GET OVER IT!
I'm not over it, I want snow! Though I wouldn't mind seeing temps in the 70s either :) Didn't mean to mislead with the title, only so many characters to work with!
the blizzzard of 93 in your bait and switch? March 13th!
Only 6.5 inches on March 13th, 1993.. check the climo data - http://www.erh.noaa.gov/lwx/climate/dca/Dcamar.txt
march '93 storm had much more than 6.5 inches of snow for many suburbs.. I'm sure some of these totals are a bit low for most of the area, too. Reagan may have a tendancy to measure lower snowfall amounts because it's at sea level, right on the potomac and next to an Airport.
Good point JW, Doug was saying that too. I was 10 in '93 when that storm happened but still remember it, we definitely had more than 6.5". I think Reagan is a terrible spot to record snow as it is ALWAYS on the low end and misrepresents the area.
The Team Snow recruiting office must be closed since they don't even answer their phones :P
This was only at Reagan National as well.
