I agree; the highest temp I saw was 55, earlier today. It's confusing because sometimes they'll say "DC area," and anymore, places like Winchester and Richmond, VA, Cumberland, MD, and other areas quite a distance from the DC METRO area are included in the forecast. Whatever - if you find yourself in bad weather today, wherever you are, be careful and stay safe.
