Good news, we couldn't another round like last friday storms like Friday's need better warnings, calling it a serve thunderstorm was a understatement. A better warning would allow people like me get out of the hot zone. Were I live got hit pretty good, if I knew it was going to be as bad as it was, I would have tried to leave the area.

That Temperature and humidity last Friday, were the worst that I have ever felt in a very long time. It was definitely the fuel that added to the damage of that Derecho. I never want to see a repeat of that scenario again.

should be the same as a Tornado Emergency. To get people to ACT. Unfortunately not a lot of people before the storm didn't know the name of this type of storm. So calling it derecho emergency isn't a good idea

What a Storm we had on Friday. We do get Derecho's about once every four years but a storm of this severity only comes around every 30 years or so. But I do agree with the posters that there should be another type of weather warning when there's a chance that we could encounter a storm of this magnitude. At this point I think we could call it a Derecho Warning and most people would understand what this warning entailed. Stay safe!!!!
