I hope that they are right about a slight risk for severe weather. This area could use some rain, but severe thunderstorms we can do without. Everyone who lost their power a couple of weeks ago must be on edge, everytime they hear the words severe thunderstorms!

I agree with Pat from Maryland. We could use the rain, but not the severe weather we have had all summer. I like summer, but this one has been the worst I have experienced since 1988 so far. That one was worse, one good thing, the sun angle is getting lower and our chances of having a lot more days like this is slowly decreasing. I think that is why October is one of the nicest months of the year around here. 70 degrees. Except for last Saturday, how many times have we only had that temperature since last March.
