When we lived in Sarasota, FL, we heard that Florida had more lightning strikes than anywhere in the U.S. Is that true?

You heard right, Linda. Florida has the most lightning strikes in the U.S. The state's peninsula is an ideal set up for thunderstorm development. After living in Sarasota, I'm sure you're familiar with lightning safety! Thanks for reading :)
