Wrong! There is no severe drought (dark orange) in the DC area. Only Abnormally Dry and Moderate. The dark orange is to the south and east of the DC Metropolis.

DV, as Southern Maryland is part of our viewing area, parts of the DC area are under severe drought conditions. Calvert and St. Mary's counties are both in that category.

that so silly. I had to go and look and you are absolutely right. who in the world came up with that question? would you rather have a hurricane or an earthquake? a tornado or a mudslide? a disaster or a disaster? honestly who let that one get by?

Unfortunately, T-storms don't help very much, only providing little rain. What we need is a good soaker such as one from a tropical storm.
