Wrong! There is no severe drought (dark orange) in the DC area. Only Abnormally Dry and Moderate. The dark orange is to the south and east of the DC Metropolis.
DV, as Southern Maryland is part of our viewing area, parts of the DC area are under severe drought conditions. Calvert and St. Mary's counties are both in that category.
I hope that those states experiencing such severe drought aren't going to be seeing another dust bowl.
"Would you rather have flooding or a drought?" What a stupid question from the underworked social media people at WJLA...smh
that so silly. I had to go and look and you are absolutely right. who in the world came up with that question? would you rather have a hurricane or an earthquake? a tornado or a mudslide? a disaster or a disaster? honestly who let that one get by?
Hey Alex, did you write the ABC7 Facebook wall post with the link to this blog entry or was it someone else?
That was not yours truly, I'll be sure to speak with the web editors downstairs as I agree with your comments!
Dude, your web editors suck all around. Stupid polls, questions, poor grammar and misspelled words. Every day it's the same thing.
I agree completely, WJLA.com's web editors are probably the worst for any news station I've read from.... smh
Unfortunately, T-storms don't help very much, only providing little rain. What we need is a good soaker such as one from a tropical storm.
