Some people don't know or don't celebrate Halloween. It would be better and more neutral to say Oct. 31 or something similar to avoid confusing people who don't know about it or to avoid offending people who don't celebrate it.
So with that logic, there can never be any references to any holidays? We can't call December 25th, Christmas day, the 4th of July as Independence Day, etc. due to some small group of people who irrationally gets offended? I think people who gets offended because of a date assigned to a holiday is doing so because it is their hobby to get offended. Seriously, get over yourself about trying to be "neutral" because you are not neutral at all with that comment.
You with your non-neutral comment miss my neutral point entirely with my NEUTRAL comment. The logic is to be exact and precise on dates when holidays are celebrated not on all one date. Christmas is celebrated on several days, Thanksgiving is celebrated on several days, etc. Hence, not all people know about T'giving, and avoiding offending a group is NOT all I said. My NEUTRAL comment stands. It is you who needs to get over youself to avoid misunderstanding people. Return after you re-read my comment AND when you can talk logically and sensibly.
"WJLA's" comment is indeed imparital and neutral since his/her main point is that people assign and celebrate different dates for some of the holidays including Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc. Hence, refer to it as a date (more accurate, more exact, and more precise) instead of a non-clear holiday. Further, his/her comment was directed to WJLA. Let WJLA consider it. It is WJLA, not us, that will determine its (im)partiality and then allow it or disallow it.
