I, like Bob Ryan, am a snow lover, even though it is a great inconvenience to get to work in it and come home in it, but if we get snow tomorrow, it will be our first November snow in Columbia where I live since 2008 that has accumulated. November snow around here is getting rare. We did have flurries Saturday morning, but the accumulating snow in 2008 came from snow squalls. This is not to say we have not had snow in November, the Veterans Day Blizzard of 1987 dropped 10 inches in Columbia, the Thanksgiving Eve snowstorm in 1989 dropped 4 inches, and a storm also on Thanksgiving Eve in 1995 dropped about an inch. Columbia is north and west of Baltimore, so like Montgomery County, it is colder. And, much different than when I lived on the Eastern Shore. I hope we get more snow than last year, that was a real disappointment, but great if you don't like snow. We will know tomorrow. It won't last long, next week, looks to be very mild.
Quick!
