Let's face it... we probably won't see a blizzard again like the one a couple years ago. All the extreme weather seems to blow over us. It's like we have shield around the DC Metro Area. I would love to get a nice snow though. That would be nice.
Although I agree that we probably won't see larger snows until February this year, being that we are in a neutral pattern and the NAO and AO are negative, unlike last year and with no El Nino and no La Nina going on, I have doubts that we will get through December and January without any snowfall. This is not likely with the pattern we are in. It does appear more likely though that a Greenland Block will develop and give us more snow in February and March than the rest of the winter. I would not bet on that we will have no snow in December or January.
