Yes, excellent article. There has been so much of a flurry or war of words about when Sandy became post-tropical, but no matter, it was a very damaging storm, that is the main result. The same was true with Hazel in 1954, that occurred not to far in date from Sandy. It spent a good part of its destructive life being post-tropical, yet having hurricane force winds. Fortunately for us in the Baltimore Washington area, Sandy did not follow Hazel's path and come up the bay. This article by a very interesting person puts a lot of what has been said over the last month to rest. No matter what the situation, Sandy was a bad storm that will likely be retired and for many folks, will take a long time to recover from.
