This warmth of early December is a sign that El Nino may be kicking in with the dryness here and all the storms out West. That is often how it starts. My belief is that we won't have snow until January, but as we progress though winter, we will get some bigger storms and lots of cold weather. There are not usually two winters in a row like last year, and with 24 of the last 35 months being above normal, it has to average out somewhere along the line. I think December may be mild, but not January through March.
