The last two GFS models (18Z and 0Z), that's 6PM and 12 AM for the laymen, show Major to Historic snow for DC and surrounding. Get your Milk, Eggs, Bread, TP, Booze, Etc Ready.
As a "panic button," I can tell you from experience about all the "idiots" in the Washington Metro area that keep hitting me at any mention of flurries much less snow.
Here is one snow lover that is perfectly fine with losing power for any length of time...I love the snow and would like to see some measurable snowfall at least just once before the winter is over
This is forecast to be a heavy, wet snow. Possibility of power outages with just a few inches of accumulation. Not sure about you but I don't like sitting in the dark with no heat. At least I can be ready with emergency lights, food that doesn't need refrigeration, etc.
