Ha...a friend who predicts weather as a hobby, said WJLA would come out of the gate cautious at 3-6 inches...he says their final prediction will be 6-10 and DC will end up with 9-10...we will see...
Yes, caution because uncertainty of rain/snow line and what time tomorrow night rain will change to snow.
RAIN than snow! More HYPE than snow storm!
I am in Puerto Rico travelling on Thursday morning what are thé chance on flight cancelation.
@Luis, I too will be flying. I'm flying out of Dulles Thursday at 6 am to San Francisco I would really want to know if theres a high chance of my flight getting cancelled
I would call the airport/airlines. Thursday mornign rush hour will be tricky and long for us here. I have lived here for 24 years and we are already in the panic mode!!! I hope you have a nice time while you are here in DC.
@Luis....I used to run the tandem snow plows for Dulles and it pretty much will be a "as it comes down." decision. It is predicated on the densness of the snowfall. If a 3 plow swipe gets covered quickly enough and cannot reasonably be kept clear, the airport will suspend flights until further notice or when the plows things under control. Sorry I can't tell you about your flight per say, my crystal ball is in the shop. But then again, no one else will really know till very early on Thursday. Hang in there and good luck to everyone.
you have nothing to worry about it. given past storm predictions around here we will get 15 minutes of light rain. I'm sure you're flight will be just fine
So Washington County is getting any thing from 4 inches to 12 inches!?!
You will see 8-12 in Prince William...
