WJLA-TV & NewsChannel 8 is seeking a Newsroom Administrator, reporting to VP/Station Manager, to handle administrative duties for its fast pace broadcast operations. The position has the responsibility for newsroom station activity to include, but not limited to, department travel, meeting scheduling, contract administration, record and file maintenance, general office administrative task and providing liaison to Finance, Payroll and Human Resources for WJLA-TV, NewsChannel 8, and wjla.com. The Newsroom Administrator will ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures in the performance of their duties. The position may also assist in public affairs, promotion and editorial projects as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

Requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant curriculum with 3 years of work experience in an office environment performing administrative duties. Current knowledge of office computer software packages, ability to multi-task and prioritize duties. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
