WJLA ABC 7 & News Channel 8 has an immediate opening for a Traffic Producer.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our (morning, evening or weekend) traffic newscasts, working closely with the Executive Producer. In this position you will determine the traffic content and flow of newscasts, work with management and develop content for our web site.
The ideal candidate will have solid ability to relay traffic reports/details on the newscast, be able to multitask and manage their time in order to put together an exciting and informative newscast in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
You must have at least 3 years of previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station, demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts. Flexibility and on-the-spot problems solving abilities are a must. Journalism degree preferred.
