Maria Colindres, 77, struck, killed at Wheaton bus stop
A 77-year-old woman has died after she was struck by an SUV at a Wheaton bus stop Thursday. Witnesses tell ABC7 News that a driver lost control, jumped two curbs, hit the woman, went through the bus stop, and took out a fence behind it.

Michael Grimes has charges against him dropped
A judge in Westminster dismissed charges Monday against 49-year-old Michael Grimes of Woodsboro. Grimes was the fourth and final defendant charged in the slaying of 26-year-old Craig Myers of Rocky Ridge at the Crossroads Inn in Keymar in August 2011.

Maryland gun turn-in event Saturday
Maryland held its first annual statewide gun turn-in day on Saturday. Montgomery County officials say they accepted 69 handguns, 27 rifles, 15 shotguns, one grenade, one sword, 10,000 rounds of ammo, and 11 BB guns.
