A 20-year-old Annandale-area woman was assaulted Monday morning while she was walking towards her bus stop. Fairfax County police say the she was attacked along the 3,700-block of Hummer Road near Pleasant Way around 6:30 a.m.

The victim was then abducted and sexually assaulted by an unknown man. She was later transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation remains on-going and anyone with information is asked to contact Fairfax County police.

This is why I advocate hanging up the cell phone, turning off the IPOD and paying attention to what's going on around you.

Not everyone is mentally equipped to squeeze a trigger ,even on a bad guy. Someone carrying a weapon that they are not fully prepared to use only puts them in a much worse situation.

I'm NOT one of THOSE people however.
