posted 12:37 pm Sat January 26, 2008 - Washington
Starting this month, Saturday could be a school day for thousands of D.C. public school students.
Mayor Adrian Fenty and Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee have unveiled a voluntary, 14-week program designed to help up to 7,500 students pass standardized tests.
Rhee says the program will ensure that all schools in the city have math and reading programs that will ensure student progress.
