Why not? could make for good tv news. Give a bunch of stressed out drunk kids guns on a campus, good stuff for prime time tv....have at it.

bad guys do whatever they want regardless of the laws in place. This law is not going to incite any violence. Cho went into VT on his own mission regardless of the rules in place. If this law was in place last year, maybe someone with a legal firearm could have stopped him before any innocent students we killed? Emotional pleas from the gun grabbers are not going to stop a crazed gunmen, but a 45 in the right place at the right time sure would.

If the Schools recieve funding from the State then they should not have the right to restrict carry by legally licensed persons.

There are 140,000 people approved to carry concealed in Virginia and it has been the law for excess of ten years. There is no history during these ten years of licensed persons being trouble.

In the recent past it was a private citizen licensed to carry that stopped an attack on a church. She was not a guard or with any security company she was just a volunteer with a permit to carry.

The university should not be able to restrict indivdual legal rights.

And why shouldn't the United States Constitution apply on a school campus as well as anywhere else? Campuses are targeted BECAUSE of the gun restrictions. In this situations (as in D.C. actually) ONLY criminals and nuts have guns.
