Winter Weather Advisory Canceled
posted 12:47 pm Tue January 22, 2008 - STERLING, Va.
The National Weather Service has canceled its Winter Winter Weather Advisory. Forecasters now say that rising temperatures mean any precipitation will fall as rain.
The National Weather Service initially placed the region under a Winter Weather Advisory between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. because of forecast flurries and light snow, changing over into sleet, freezing rain and then rain across later.
The NWS first canceled the advisory for the District, then for the entire region.
