Four Ballou Students Wounded in Drive-by
posted 4:39 pm Wed January 23, 2008 - Washington
It appears a fourth Ballou Senior High School student was wounded in a drive-by shooting after school on Tuesday.
Police say the student suffered a graze wound, but did not seek medical attention after the shooting. The student then decided to seek treatment after showing up to school on Wednesday.

The school had added security on hand Wednesday following the shooting that also wounded two 16-year-old girls and one 16-year-old boy. Police say the girls were shot in the legs and the boy was shot in the back. None of the wounds appears to be life-threatening.
Investigators say they were shot just before 3:30 p.m. by someone in a passing car about a block from the school.
Route police patrols were on the scene for dismissal and Lanier says there were a lot of kids in the street and in the school.
Police say they believe the shooting was the result of an intra-neighborhood rivalry in the Washington View community. Investigators believe Tuesday's shooting is connected to a shooting that wounded five teens on January 11 in Southeast.
Assistant Police Chief Diane Groomes police don't know who intended targets were.
Investigators say they have no official suspects but D.C. SWAT teams were posted around Barry Farms Public Housing for much of the day.
Authorities transport one of the shooting victims Tuesday.
