I can't believe this could happen. Good point SpareMe, folks is definitely tripping everywhere. Especially in the military. They should have a drop out clause in the enlistment contract, because everyone knows people just join for the college money, cool uniforms and free haircuts. Nobody really wants to go to war, and like hurt people and stuff. That's like completety unfair to ask of anyone. These poor kids are just following George Bush's example and trying to unjustly occupy Ballou High School, which should make this a war crime, right...?

it isn't just "the situations in DC"... it is nationwide. Folks all over are tripping..like it is something with the ozonelayer. Parents need to wake up..and stop saying "not my kid". The lack of parenting is the cause of this. The US in Iraq wasn't caused by the lack of parenting. The soldiers in Iraq are there because a lack of parenting...they don't want to be there anymore then anyone else. I am sure if the soliders could have gotten out of the military before the war started (like alot of them did) they would have.

It was so easy to transpose the situations in Washington, D.C., to similar situations in any location in Iraq. It is no different--one faction does not like or respect another group and they think that elimination of that group is going to make their lives easier. I hope Iran or Pakistan or some other country does not take it upon themselves to come in to our cities and try to impose civil behavior and democracy on us. But if we can do this in Iraq... what is so different here?

This is really sad, especially since the Ballou Band was just on Ellen YESTERDAY wishing her a happy birthday. Well it was a video clip. What i also find funny, is the same thing happened in MD at Flowers....3 students, drive by. What is wrong with these kids.

Dejavu. Two girls and one boy were shot at Flowers High School, one dying as a result of the drive by shooting. So is this a copycat or is this an act of a rival gang. One witness said two DC cops were close by. The shooters got away in two cars and a pickup truck. It seems that someone should have gotten license plates. I don't think cops can chase cars because of so many accidents. The presence of the cops did not deter the shooters. How brazen. I hope they are arrested in case another gang member takes the law into his hands.
