Motorcycle Driver Killed in Crash

A motorcyclist is dead after apparently losing control on Interstate-270 in Rockville.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Captain Oscar Garcia says at least one lane of traffic is blocked on the highway.
Emergency crews were called to the scene about 1 p.m. Saturday. Garcia says the motorcycle driver was traveling north on I-270 and was attempting to exit onto I-370 when he lost control and went over an embankment. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Investigators say the driver lost control due to excessive speed.
Garcia says the driver was a man, approximately 20 years old.
