Boil Alert Issued for Walkersville
posted 5:49 am Mon January 28, 2008 - Walkersville, Md.
Walkersville officials are advising residents to boil tap water after a manure spill upstream from the town's water management plant. Town commissioner Chad Weddle says a truck filled with manure spilled last week and officials later learned that the farmer responsible was pumping the manure into Glade Creek.

Officials say the boil water advisory is a precaution in case the spill has contaminated the water pumped and treated at the plant.
