Vets Give Tai Shan a Clean Bill of Health

Veterinarians at the National Zoo gave Panda cub Tai Shan a clean bill of health after his first-ever comprehensive physical exam Monday.

The 2.5-year-old giant panda now weighs 157 pounds and is in excellent health.

After the exam, Tai Shan was returned to his indoor enclosure at the National Zoo's Fujifilm Giant Panda Habitat to recover from the anesthesia.
