A two alarm fire affecting four row house in Northwest D.C. flared up Wednesday afternoon.

The fire actually affected only one home, located at 2710 Cathedral Avenue Northwest.  Firefighters checked three other houses that were neighboring the affected home. Fire crews had to go to 2927 28th Street NW for an available working hydrant because the fire hydrant closest to the scene was out of service.
