(Sports Network) - Al Jefferson dropped 32 points and hauled in 10 rebounds in 40-plus minutes of action, as the Minnesota Timberwolves got by Golden State, 115-108, at the Target Center.
Ryan Gomes notched 21 points and 10 rebounds while rookie Kevin Love logged quality minutes off the bench with 19 points and eight boards for Minnesota, which has alternated wins and losses over its last six games.
Randy Foye added 17 points and seven assists as the Timberwolves improved to just 4-12 at home with the win. Minnesota takes to the road for a pair of tests against Chicago and Memphis, respectively, starting Saturday.
"Mac's been great for me," Foye said of head coach Kevin McHale's guidance. "He's been there through the ups and downs. He just wants me to be free -- play free, scoring like I did in college."
Stephen Jackson went for 25 points and seven assists while Andris Biedrins logged his usual double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
Anthony Morrow had 14 points while both C.J. Watson and Jamal Crawford logged 11 points for the Warriors, who have dropped three of four and five of their last seven games. Golden State has also dropped five straight on the road and fell to 0-2 on a three-game swing with the loss.
"We couldn't handle Iron Man," Warriors head coach Don Nelson said jokingly of the durable Jefferson. "He had his way with us -- neither of our big guys could handle him. He did a great job when we double-teamed him. He was a handful tonight."
The Warriors will also visit Utah on the swing and are just 4-18 as the visitor this season.
The T'Wolves owned a 32-26 lead after 12 minutes and allowed the Warriors a brief second-quarter lead before Jefferson got the hoop for two just before the buzzer for a 58-57 halftime advantage.
A 19-5 Minnesota run through the middle stages of the third quarter allowed for an 11-point lead before a jumper from Jackson just before the close of the frame cut the deficit to seven.
Another Jackson jump shot with 3:15 left to play got Golden State back within seven after trailing for much of the fourth by double-digits, but Jefferson hit two from the line and back-to-back buckets by Foye pushed the lead to 13 with just under two minutes to play, allowing the T'Wolves a large enough cushion to claim victory.
