BOWIE, Md. - Prince George's County authorities say a school bus has crashed into a utility pole, injuring three boys.
Fire department spokesman Mark Brady says the bus was leaving High Bridge Elementary School in Bowie on Tuesday afternoon when the driver lost control and struck a utility pole. The pole cracked in half, causing live wires to fall around the bus.
Brady says 40 children were on board, but that they had safely exited the bus by the time authorities arrived.
Authorities have taken three boys to a hospital with minor injuries.
