Hillary Clinton is planning to hold a rally in northern Virginia as the Democratic candidates for president begin shifting their focus to next week's primaries in the region.
Voters in D.C., Maryland and Virginia will head to the polls February 12 in what's being called the Potomac Primary.
Clinton's rally is scheduled for Thursday, though an exact location hasn't been determined. Tuesday, the Clinton campaign unveiled a list of 100 Democratic advocates from across the state who will serve on her state campaign steering committee.
Tuesday, the former first lady became the first Democrat to commit to attend Saturday's annual Jefferson-Jackson Day Democratic fundraising dinner in Richmond.
Clinton's staff on Monday announced its 106-member statewide steering committee. The list includes novelist John Grisham.
For Obama, endorsements continue rolling in as four mayors of major Virginia cities announced their support.
Richmond Mayor Doug Wilder endorsed Obama in January.
In Maryland, supporters for Barack Obama opened a headquarters Tuesday in Prince George's County. The campaign also launched Maryland Latinos for Obama as they seek to build support among the state's Hispanics.
