Well said Ronnie C. Sugar actually satisfies hunger - to a certain extent. A diabetic I know claims: to keep from overheating, one should eat half of your desert first, before eating a meal. This will get your internal digestion working and glucose will build up in your blood early and tell the brain sooner that you are full. When eating out, don't finish everything. Rather take the remainder home for your next meal. Best wishes to everyone trying to loose weight - It is a challange.

Ronnie C.
Thank God someone is finally looking at the correlation of artificial sweetners to weight gain. I for one have been attempting to lose weight for years, only to find myself unsuccessful. UNTIL I realized that everytime I consume food or a beverage with artificial sweetners in it it stimulates my appetite. Something as simple as a can of diet soda or sugar free gum will set me into binge eating for days. We wonder why America is fat? Look at all of the products that contain these artificial sweetners. We and our children are consuming it in their cereals, yogurt, applesauce, fruit juices, canned fruits and I'm sure many other products. High fiber cereals are destroyed with artificial sweetners. Fiber One would be a great cereal if they would only remove the artificial sweetner! Why is this product being used instead of sugar? As we all know, sugar only has 15 calories per teaspoon! PLEASE do whatever you can to have this "poison" removed from our foods! Perhaps it doesn't affect everyone in the same way but for those of us who are very sensitive to its effects, its devastating. I consider it an allergic reaction. Is it? I'm not sure but I do know that my trips to the grocery store include extensive label reading to assure myself that I no longer consume any artificial sweetners!

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to tell you what I've been preaching to my friends and family!
