D.C. Fire Chief Dennis Rubin say firefighters and emergency medical workers will receive additional ethics, diversity and equity training.

The announcement comes after several allegations of misconduct during the past six months. Rubin says the expanded training will begin in June. He says 10 managers will participate in a four-month program with the International Public Safety Leadership and Ethics Institute. Those managers will then train the rest of the fire department.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Rubin took over the fire and EMS department last spring, and required all members of the department to complete a four-hour diversity training course and sign a statement of professional responsibility.
