A 10-year-old student is being credited with helping Spotsylvania authorities make a drug bust.
Investigators say the student told her school's DARE officer about possible drug activity in her home last week. Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office then responded to the tip and stopped a man driving away from the home off of Cascade Drive, Saturday.
Deputies checked the truck of the suspect's vehicle and discovered four bags of marijuana. Deputies arrested James Richard Lee, who told them he was just the "middle man."
Authorities then executed a search warrant at the home where investigators uncovered approximately an additional pound of marijuana worth about $3,500 and evidence to suggest that the house was used for drug distribution.
Jacquelyne Morton and Latoya Clark were then taken into custody.
Lee was taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail on possession charges with intent to distribute.
