Unofficial results show that the percentage of registered D.C. voters who turned out Tuesday was the highest of any presidential primary in 20 years. And it could go back further depending on the final vote tally, according to D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics spokesman Bill O'Field.

About 38 percent of eligible voters cast ballots in the city, according to initial results. Barack Obama defeated Hillary Clinton, winning about 75 percent of the vote.

conundrum

In reality, it is a dreadful disgrace. only 38% of eligible voters showed up....and this is the best turnout in 20 years?

Embarrassing and pathetic.
