D.C. Voting Highest in 20 Years

Unofficial results show that the percentage of registered D.C. voters who turned out Tuesday was the highest of any presidential primary in 20 years.
And it could go back further depending on the final vote tally, according to D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics spokesman Bill O'Field.
About 38 percent of eligible voters cast ballots in the city, according to initial results. Barack Obama defeated Hillary Clinton, winning about 75 percent of the vote.
Voters continued to line up at polls late in the day despite voting problems and icy weather. O'Field says the bad weather played a role in the results being released later than expected.
