posted 5:18 pm Wed February 20, 2008 - Accokeek, Md.
Prince George's County police are appealing to witnesses of a deadly weekend wreck to come forward with their accounts.
Corporal Clinton Copeland says police are asking spectators to tell investigators what they saw at the accident on Indian Head Highway.
Before dawn Saturday, a car plowed into a group that had spilled onto the road after watching two racing cars speed off. No charges have been filed against the driver that struck the crowd, however investigators say he had a suspended license.
Witnesses are asked to call the Prince George's County Police Department's Collision Analysis Unit at 301-731-4422. People who want to remain anonymous can call 1-866-411-TIPS.
