Cumberland Plane Found, No Survivors

The Civil Air Patrol says a small plane carrying two Cumberland-area men that disappeared Thursday night while preparing to land at the Cumberland Regional Airport has been found. There were no survivors. A CAP air patrol aircraft found the single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza about 5:45 p.m. Friday, three miles northeast of Cumberland Regional Airport, says Col. Kay Joslin Walling, middle east region commander and information officer. No further details were released.
The CAP ground team, Maryland State Police and fire rescue are heading to the crash site.

A news conference will be conducted by CAP at 7:30 p.m. at the Cumberland Airport, Walling says.
