The House Finance Committee voted 14-6 to table Senate Democratic Leader Richard Saslaw's bill intended to generate cash to maintain the state's highway system. Saslaw, under no illusion his bill would pass the Republican House panel, warned that the soaring costs of road repairs will consume all road-construction money in seven years.

The costs of maintenance increase by $65 million a year as a result of inflation, Saslaw said.

I am just glad Bush and his croonies are packing up and getting out.. Bush absolutely has ruined our country.. and yes.. he's responsible for this war and the "trickle down" rising of the gas due to this war! I just hope and pray that there is never another Bush in the White House.
