If you don't like it then go back home! Most people here are immigrants, but they came here legally and the right way whether it was Ellis Island or slavery! Get your facts right chica!

If the fed. and state gov. wont do anything to stop the illegal flow of criminals, then its up to the people to protect their selves and their country by any means they have at their disposal up to and including extreme prejudice...maybe bodies in the street will get someones attention...

Wow, now that's news. Just a few weeks ago some white kid decided it would be a great idea to shoot 22 and kill six people at NIU. Now that's a serious problem. I think some more efforts need to go into stopping these white kids from going on shooting rampages. I'm scared to go to my college classes some days because of all the white kids. Since Prince William has passed that resolution things havent become any better. They are actually worse. Businesses are shutting down and taxes are going up.

Just today i read in Annapolis some mexican scum bag molested a girl in a home he was renting in. Apprently he was using an American named idenity to get day labor and had a ID in that name. Of course its not on this news site. More examples of why this has got to stop. There is nothing we CAN NOT DO if we focus our effort. If we remove the services these people will move on to more easy living, just like they demonstated they do. Prince William county has them leaving, people saying they are leaving cars behind, everything. They are moving to a less hostile climate where they havent totally raped out there welcome or ran the Mayors dog over drunk.

Undocumented and illegal immigrants are ruining this Country and what it stands for. They can't expect rights, when they purposefully broke our laws by entering our Country illegally. I agree with the posters here that stated that we need to be more vocal with our local political leaders and let them know we will not stand for this any longer.

There was a school bus accident in Minnesota recently that killed quite a few of the students that were on that bus, the driver of the car that caused the accident, you guessed it, here illegally and did not have a driver's license. How exactly is that contributing to our society?

Get in line, come here legally and we will accept you. Come here illegally, get OUT! PERIOD!

On a side note,

I would gladly accept all of Mexico's hard working, productive, "decent" people if we could send them all of our thugs.

John61,

I finally agree with something you've posted. However, I think this thing is way too big to stop now. There's a lot of money to be made with have illegal immigrants here. This is all about money and those that are making it have a multitude of lobbyists greasing palms in Washington. The medical industry doesn't care about illegals that can't pay their bills. You can rest assure that they get their money. School districts get more money when their populations increase, State and local entities get more Federal money to support their growing populations. I could go on and on about how much money changes hands as a result of illegal immigration. So you see, with the exception of honest, hard working, tax paying citizens, everyone wins. I don't particularly care for the doom and gloom outlook, but we're toast. There's very little that can be done about the folks that have already set up shop here (i.e. produced children, etc.) and nothing is being done to secure the border. If we can send a remote controlled car (lets face it, that's what the Mars Rover is) to mars and control it from Earth!, why can't we build a functional barrier between the U.S and Mexico!

Prettyboy
You know folks.. we can talk the illegal issue to death on this board and it won't do any good. What we need to do as citizens is pick a day off from work, strike and march on DC until something is DONE! I would go if it's organized.. in just one day we could cripple the economy more than Bush has done in 8 years.. I want the mooching scums outta here.

GW
Illegals protesting for equal rights? That's a joke... If you are not a citizen/or legal resident of the US you are not covered by "OUR" Constitution. Period!!

Lee52
I agree with the question: "What race is illegal?" Illegals are NOT immigrants, they are criminals. If they are working, they have done so after stealing an American citizen's identity and SSN. So, they came here illegally. They illegally obtained someone else's identity or are working for cash under the table and not paying income taxes on their wages, not paying FICA on their wages. All of the above are crimes. Legal immigrants are not allowed to get away with these crimes. US citizens are not allowed to get away with these crimes.

WHY should we allow criminals to get away with these crimes?

I expect the ICE to bring lots of handcuffs and agents and buses or cattle cars to the next protest on US soil by criminal illegals and round them up and deport them. Enforce our laws on illegals in the same manner that they are enforced on real US citizens.

John61
I don't understand why everytime you read about the illegals, the American public is bout 98% against them being here, yet most Americans are voting to put Obama in the White House. He is a big advocate of allowing them to stay..As you know, I have been a non Republican for over 25 years. I voted this last round for anyone who was willing to kick them out of the country..This coming election will be the most important election in modern times. If we allow them to let illegals stay just because they are already here, we can expect an influx of illegals entering the country and we will no longer be able to handle the situation. Also, why is it that they can get a half million illegals to protest on the mall, bus loads from around the country, but we as Americans can not get a couple of hundred to show up for a rally against illegals. We as Americans need to get off of our you know what's and stand up for OUR RIGHTS. I understand that there are several groups lining up protests across America this spring and the numbers of those willing to get involved are very limited. Are we as American's going to spit in the faces of everyone of our forefathers that protested and died for OUR RIGHTS? It Appears so. We have become lazy as American's and allowed every country in the world to stomp on us. We are not the strongest nation in the world anymore, we are the dumbest. We give every dollar away to save other countries but, fail to support our own needs and freedoms. Please enjoy the future tax hikes to pay for the doubling of illegals into this nation. Then enjoy there agenda's when they litterally take over the government.

PLEASE HELP US AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL AS WELL!!

THIS IS URGENT---LOOK AT WHAT PELOSI, HISPANIC CAUCUS, ETC. IS UP TO REGARDING ILLEGALS!!!

FROM NUMBERSUSA!!

In a nutshell, your efforts to push the SAVE Act (H.R. 4088) of Rep. Shuler (D-N.C.) and Rep. Bilbray (R-Calif.) are increasingly successful. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi fears that the current 136 co-sponsors will succeed in forcing a House floor vote on the bill to take jobs away from millions of illegal aliens. She desperately wants to keep the 12-20 million illegal aliens in this country. So, she is maneuvering to attach a 5-year amnesty proposal of the Hispanic Caucus. Her hope is that she will either win with the amnesty or just make the bill so bad that we will help her kill the enforcement.

They are hoping that if the illegals are given the 5-year amnesty---and businesses who are hiring the illegals given "safe harbor"---that they can eventually push for full amnesty/citizenship for the illegals.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.......Register with this FREE site so that you are able to send FREE faxes so that we can stop Pelosi and the Hispanic Caucus. The site will alert you through email every time faxes need to be sent--letting you know to log onto the site and go to the "Action Buffet".

Don't much care about their skin color, language they speak, religion, sexual orientation, or ANYTHING ELSE.

Sneaking into this country is NOT immigration. They should NOT be here!

Crate'em up, ship'em out! They can go the easy way, or they WILL go the hard way ... in handcuffs, and such ...

I've known hundreds of Canadians, Europeans, Africans, Caribeans, and Asians who are hre illegally as well. You can't just draw the line at Latinos because a lot of them have darker skin. This should be about ALL illegals even those who look like you."

Then maybe you should ask channel 7 why out of the hundreds of people at this march, they selected Mr. Solera to focus on. Where are the Canadians, Africans, Arabs, Asians, etc.? I know they're out there, but the press sure seems to pick Latinos to interview, and it's usually spokespeople for Latino ethnic identity organizations such as La Raza that are claiming enforcement of our immigration laws is "racist" (what race IS illegal?).

Ali
Mr. Solera's example is precisely why we shouldn't offer benefits or another amnesty to illegal aliens. It's very likely that Mr. Solera was an illegal alien himself who was able to benefit from the 1986 amnesty. We now see that these people, who have eventually gained citizenship, still don't believe in the rule of law. Still believe that they and their friends should be exempt from the laws that the majority of us have decided upon. In fact, these people (and channel 7) aren't even honest enough to admit that they're talking about illegal aliens and not legal immigrants, using the term "immigrant" instead. Of course, it would make an interesting headline, to paraphrase another station, "Illegal aliens demand rights". What rights would those be, except to leave?

gangbuster
They have no right to protest in our country, we should treat this as a riot and handle it as such.

gloria1107
For a change this will be short and sweet and to the point - Prettyboy - you said it all and I agree one hundres and ten percent and thank you. You did it much better than I could. I am ready to blow a couple gaskets myself.

semicharmed
"Hundreds of immigrants protested Monday night for equal rights..." Interesting choice of words. NO one is trying to take away rights of LEGAL immigrants. Because duh.. if they ARE U.S. citizens then explain why they would protest? The statement regarding 'those here legally but can't prove it'.. Umm really? Are you freekin kidding me?

Like prettyboy, I too am going to pop a vein if I hear about these unwelcome trespassers "demanding" rights. If they are here illegally, they have only one right and that is to stfu and go home.

Throwing out the race card & discrimination are just ways to make the socialist tree hugging kumbahYAH singing liberals feel sorry for them, to make them feel guilty. Typical "American guilt". They ease this guilt by allowing them to be here because they want their lawn cut or some odd job their fat a55 is to lazy to do themselves.

Madrid Senorita
The word "discrimination" gets thrown around willy nilly whenever people point out the illegality of the immigrants' actions. It's calculated to raise emotions so that reason flies out the window. I feel for the illegal immigrants, but their coming here by the millions has destroyed much of our social services systems to the point that the legal citizen and the legal immigrant has been severely shortchanged. And please don't tell me that they pay taxes, too. How do you know? They are not documented! As one of the responders wrote, so many of our businesses have been outsourced to Mexico. Go back and work there. We certainly can't; we'd be arrested as illegals.

Winstrv
Prettyboy: I agree that not enough is being done to rid this country of all illegal immigrants. However, you are not being honest in your assestment. It is not the Republicans that are trying to give illegals everything they want. You have seen it time and time again where ever Democrats are in charge, they are the ones voting to spend our tax money on giving services to illegals and/or turning a blind eye to the problems in their own communities. It is not Republicans declaring their communities as sanctuary cities for these people. It is not the Republicans who want to give them drivers licenses. I could go on and on but you get the point. As for the rest of the people who say the focus is on latinos, I don't care where you come from. If you are breaking our laws by being here illegally, you need to be deported. The bottom line is you are criminals. I'm sick and tired of counties stating they have budget shortfalls but continue to provide services to criminals.

PWMOm
Once again, the advocates here have missed the point and are perpetuating misinformation and fear within their own constituencies. The bills being proposed are not aimed at immigrants who are here legally-they are focused to those who have chosen, for whatever reason, to ignore the process that other legal immigrants so painstakingly undertook to come here and are now demanding to be treated the same with the same benefits and programs. That is the very hallmark of arrogance in my mind. What makes these people think that they can go around laws, regulations and values that other legal immigrants have undertaken and then benefit from the same? Shame on these advocacy groups for pushing this agenda! Perhaps your time and efforts would be better taken (and received) if you spent your time and resources in educating your constituencies about HOW to abide by our laws and HOW to assimilate, rather than taking the opposite view and trying to use the race or ethnic card to shore up your already distasteful position. Perhaps you should also spend your time advocating for a change or streamline of the legalization process-now THAT would be a novel and productive idea!

For those government officials who think that sanctuary and enacting legislation to excuse this blatant and continued violation of our laws and reward benefits and other services instead, then shame on you for being a poor excuse of a leader who has sworn to uphold the Constitution. You should be held as accomplices to this mess, as well as our own federal government for allowing it to continue.

Diplomat
Isn't a goup of illegals protesting a fish kill in a bucket for ICE?

If this were a group of fugitive bank robbers all in one place, would the police simply ignore them?

With so many of our U.S. factories moving to Mexico, why can't Mexicans just stay there, work & go to college?

JTSpangler
I love to hear the illegals and their supporters make these claims to "equal rights" because it emphasizes how fundamentally wrong they are. The law is simple. Illegal immigrants have _no_ rights other than those limited rights recognized by federal courts, and legal immigrants have _all_ rights which their lawful conduct confers upon them. Stop me when I get to the hard part.

Fredman
I wish the media would saying illeagal immagration bill. I don't think anyone is against immagration. It is the illeagal immagration that should stop and MD should stop spending my tax dollars on criminals who broke the law to enter this country. If you entered the country illeaglly you broke the law, when you break the law you are a criminal.

Ridingcrops
Most of the time when I read these things you are all spouting off about Latinos. What about the other illegals who come here and take our jobs? I am with all of you, these folks have a right to protest because???? How dare you demand rights you don't have in the first place? The legal immigrants that founded this country came here legally made an effort to learn the language and wanted to become Americans. They wanted to wave the American flag! I do not appreciate illegal folks coming here with an attitude and than trying to make this into a Latin American Country. If you love that whole experience so very much stay in your place of birth and put that effort into making your country strong and able, don't force your habits and culture on us! Also don't expect benefits given to you that ourselves and our parents worked hard for. The costs of all those unpaid medical bills, jails, overcrowded schools, overcrowded highways, car accidents with uninsured drivers we pay for that not you!

Lock their asses up.....

Most of the people in this country do come from immigrant families. Immigrant families that came into the country the way the government said they were supposed to. They were not border jumping illegals....most of them. If somebody wants to use history to back up an arguement, they should look at both sides of that history. Get legal or get out!

desideratum
Instead of coming to America for a better future why don't these parasites go back to their country and make it a better place for them to live! I will tell you why, they are lazy and cowards and will not stand up for their rights in their country of origin.

MD_Crab
OK folks, it's time to get on an e-mailing and phone your legislator campaign, and show our disguist with these Illegals DEMANDING a free ride on the MD taxpayer's dime. Start at the top with our esteemed Gov. O'Malley.

They need to hear from us often and strongly, to show our citizens are not going to accept our lawmakers cowering to these bands of bandits surrounding the Capitol in Annlapolis with their black mail actions and tactics.

These people deserve nothing from the United States unless they have entered the U.S. legally and have become citizens.

Star Child, Amen & Amen!

How do illegals protest how they are treated for being here illegally? That's like a criminal breaking into my home and sueing me because, I did not treat them, as an INVITED guest. I wish some politician, any politician would just grow a pair, and send all illegals out of this country. I don't care where they are from, send them out of this country. illegal is not the same as legal, and it should not be treated as such.

bill white
The police should have arrested everyone present without proper legal paperworks. CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS should not have the right to assemble in our country. If hundreds of Americans tried this nonsense in Mexico they would get shot or jailed and extorted. Try fixing the cess pool country you came from, before you totally wreck this once great country. You have worn out your welcome here with your crimes, child rapes, drunken actions, tax cheating and all your other problems to have brought us. I agree with Pretty Boy, we need to organize our own protests and march.

Dragonthunder
When all else fails discrimination against Latino?s.

This is not a discrimination issue. This is an illegal immigration issue.

Those who have broken the law by coming here need to go home and apply as the legal immigrants do. We will welcome you as we have them. (Legally)

A side note for the author of the article. Because a group opposes illegal immigration does not make them anti immigrant. My guess is the author was a bit biased using the term, anti immigrant groups, rather than anti illegal immigrant groups.

JCampbell
For whatever reason or purpose these people have come to America, first and foremost are not immigrants. This protest has nothing to do with being Latino, Chinese or even the Polish. There workers are fulfilling a need for a specific industry that is not needed simply because it does not support the American community. Its basis for existence is for profit and profit only. It's not a religious issue, a human rights or civil rights issue. And its not about jobs someone tells someone else they can't do. This is about uncontrolled illegal migration. Our immigration system is broken because we have too many people in the system and is estimated by the GAO that 550,000 of those people come here to America each year illegally. That's a lot of people on top of the already 1.1 million legal immigrants our country accepts to represent our great nation. Our entire social and economic system is suffering under this burden of humanity. This uncontrolled illegal migration is threatening our way of life, our ability to educate our children and for our citizens to find and to create gainful employment to support their families. There are many important issues that are facing our country and I hope the Maryland General Assembly understands how important it is to be as humane as possible but firm in their resolve to end this illegal behavior once and for all.

Prettyboy
Each and every time I read about "their right" I want to blow a gasket. It's not the place of the Americans to take our tax dollars and support these bozo's from a foreign land. I want them out and I am sure each taxpayer who dwells in the workplace daily is sick and tired of their dollars going to take care of those who are here mooching on us. I say it's time, we as American's plan a day to strike at work or better yet march on DC and stay off from work until Bush does something productive. He's suppose to be the president and here he is letting the illegals dictate to us what they want. I have heard it said that if the democrats take office in 2009 that they will open the gates and bring em in.. well wtf is going on right now with the republicans? They are in charge and yet they aren't doing squat to stop the flood gates of illegals from pouring in here. I hope to God whoever takes office does better thann Bush.. and I am sure he or she can! It's time to grab a ball bat and go after the illegals.. the govenment is turning a blind eye to the whole deal. (I do hope this is printed)
