Metro service is back to normal after a suspicious package disrupted the rush-hour commute on the red line. Metro says the Takoma station was closed shortly before 6 p.m. after a suspicious package was found about 200 feet from the entrance.
The package was found to be harmless, and the station reopened at about 6:30 p.m.
