Man Dies After Shooting on Steps of Elementary School

A man is dead after he was shot on the step of Truesdell Elementary School in Northwest D.C.
Metropolitan Police Department (web|news) detectives say the man was shot shortly after 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of 9th Street and Ingraham Street.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, but later died.
Metropolitan Police Department's violent crime detectives were called to investigate. It's not clear who the shooter is or what prompted the shooting.
