Iverson, playing with a fractured ring finger, did his damage in the first 6 minutes of the quarter, when he scored all of his first-quarter points. He also passed to Martin for a dunk during the Nuggets' opening quarter.

Denver didn't let up in the second quarter, hitting five 3-pointers and scoring 36 points. They led 84-58 at the break. Kevin Durant, who led the Sonics with 23 points, scored 15 in the second quarter.
