The new stadium is full of fun things to do for families.
Baseball fans who need a break from the game will be able to enter "The Strike Zone", a 15,000 square foot kid-centered entertainment area.
Twelve-year-old Tess McEvoy tried out the Gran Turismo driving simulator, "It's really cool and it's not just baseball games. It's also other games that are really interesting."
Major league baseball on Playstation 3 is also an option as well as the option to make your own mascot, specifically Screech, at the Build-A-Bear workstation.
"Once you go get your animals dressed, you get to go to naming, where you get to name your animal," yelled a Build-A-Bear worker outside the store.
At the batting cages, it's possible to go up against Boston's Tim Wakefield, which D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty did.
Stadium staples such as hot dogs and pretzels are on the menu at Nationals Park, but you can spice things up a bit with a $9 steak burrito and hometown favorites such as Ben's Chili Bowl, where a chili dog will set you back $6.50.
Centerplate GM's Chris Benevento, said Ben's Chili Bowl will be as authentic as the original, "We'll also have their authentic member of their staff on site each night to make sure that we're preparing things just the proper way. To make sure their following the recipe."
The food prices are about what you'd expect at a stadium. Besides Ben's Chili Bowl, other local names you'll find include Gifford's Ice Cream, Mayorga Coffee and Red, Hot and Blue BBQ.
