(Sports Network) - Dwyane Wade's incredible three-pointer at the buzzer of the second overtime capped a 48-point effort, and the Miami Heat edged the Chicago Bulls, 130-127.

In the second overtime period, with the game tied, Chicago had the ball with 11.2 seconds left and a chance to win. John Salmons got the inbounds pass, but Wade stole the ball with three seconds left, launched up a floating shot from the top of the three-point circle and watched it touch nothing but net to give the Heat the win.

"If Mr. Dwyane Tyrone Wade is not legitimately considered as an MVP candidate than I don't know what he needs to do," said Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra. "We're going to be a playoff contender and night after night he's making incredible plays, like this one tonight."

Wade also tallied 12 assists, six rebounds, three blocks and four steals for Miami, which has won three of four. Michael Beasley had 18 points, and Mario Chalmers had 17 in the win.

Ben Gordon had a season-high 43 points on 8-of-11 three-point shooting for the Bulls, who have lost five straight on the road. Salmons added 29 points, while Derrick Rose had 23 points and nine boards. Joakim Noah added 11 points and 15 rebounds in a losing effort.

In the second extra session, Gordon gave Chicago the early lead, but seven straight points, capped by Beasley's three-point play off an alley-oop from Wade, put the Heat ahead by five, 124-119, midway through.

Gordon cut the Bulls' deficit to three with a pair from the line with 1:39 to go, and Tyrus Thomas' putback dunk tied the game with a minute left.

Each team added a basket, setting up the dramatic finish in the final seconds.

In the first overtime, Salmons' three-point play and Rose's steal and ensuing layup put Chicago ahead, 109-106, with just under three minutes to go.

Miami answered with seven straight points to take a four-point lead. Chalmers hit a three, Udonis Haslem hit a pair from the line, and Jamario Moon hit an easy fast-break dunk with 1:20 left.

Salmons' three-point play cut the deficit to one, but a Wade-to-Moon alley- oop with 40.6 seconds left made it a three-point game.

"We stayed with them the whole game," said Salmons. "They had a chance to put us away. We had chances to put it away. It was a hard fought game. It was a tough game to lose. We never gave up."

After a couple Beasley free throws, Gordon drained a three for Chicago. Wade missed a pair from the line with 17.1 seconds left, and Salmons made 2-of-2 free throws with 3.7 seconds left to tie the game. Wade almost won the game at the buzzer with a reverse layup, but the ball caromed off the rim.

Down 10 to start the fourth, the Bulls quickly scored six straight points to open the period and took a 100-96 lead after Gordon made three straight three- pointers with three minutes left.

Daequan Cook missed a three with 45 seconds left that would have put Miami in front, but Wade tied the game at 104 on a long-distance shot with 11.5 seconds to go. Rose's leaning jumper was off the mark in the final seconds, sending the game to overtime.

The Bulls led, 26-22, after the first quarter, but Wade's 32-footer at the second quarter buzzer put Miami in front, 54-52.

Haslem's two free throws with just over four minutes left in the third put the Heat ahead by eight, and Miami held a 84-74 advantage heading to the fourth.
