(Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets finish up a four-game road trip in the Windy City tonight when they take on the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

The Hornets climbed to within two games of the idle San Antonio Spurs in the jumbled Southwest Division race on Friday when Chris Paul scored 30 points, dished out nine assists and pulled down six rebounds, leading New Orleans to a 95-86 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.

David West totaled 21 points and 10 boards for the Hornets, who have won nine of their last 10 games and are 18-14 on the road this season. Rasual Butler drained four three-pointers as part of a 17-point performance, while Tyson Chandler grabbed 17 rebounds with eight points.

The Bulls, meanwhile, lost a tough one in Philadelphia on Friday as the Sixers said goodbye to the historic Spectrum.

Thaddeus Young set a career-high in points for the second straight outing by dropping 31 in that one as Philadelphia closed out their former home with a thrilling 104-101 triumph against Chicago in the final NBA game ever to be played at the Spectrum.

Young, coming off a then career-high 29-point performance vs. Toronto on Wednesday, had his final points come on a dunk with 15.9 ticks remaining to give the 76ers their eventual winning margin.

Chicago still had chance to tie with a three, but Ben Gordon's heave rattled in and then out, sending the nostalgic Philly crowd into one last Spectrum celebration.

Rose finished with 20 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Bulls, who went winless on a three-game road trip but remained just percentage points behind the eighth-place Bucks in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

John Salmons, Brad Miller and Kirk Hinrich each had 14 points while both Salmons and Miller recorded seven rebounds in defeat. Joakim Noah had 13 points and nine boards.

Chicago, which is 19-11 at the United Center, will close out a two-game homestand against Boston on March 17.

The Bulls snapped a two-game skid to the Hornets with a 107-93 win in the Big Easy on February 4.
