(Sports Network) - Candyce Bingham and Angel McCoughtry put forth 12 points apiece, as the third-seeded Louisville Cardinals cruised past the 14th-seeded Liberty Lady Flames, 62-42, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament's Raleigh Regional at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Becky Burke chipped in with 11 points for the Cardinals (30-4), who move on to the second round versus sixth-seeded LSU on Tuesday.
Amber Mays led the Lady Flames (24-9) with 11 points and five assists. Megan Frazee managed just eight points, well below her average of 20.3 ppg heading into the tourney.
The Cardinals used a 13-0 run in the first half to open a 35-17 lead at the break.
Louisville's advantage grew to as many as 31 midway through the second half before it finished with the 20-point victory.
The Cardinals forced Liberty into a whopping 27 turnovers, scoring 29 points off those mishaps on the night.
