A building at the NASA (web|news) Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt was evacuated Tuesday, after smoke was found from what was thought to be a chemical spill.
A NASA spokesperson said around 4:30 p.m. an employee reported what appeared to be smoke in the building. The building was then evacuated. The spokesperson said it was determined the smoke was condensation from a malfunctioning machine. There was never a spill.
NASA said they had initial reports that two employees were missing, however, they were found at home.
Everyone was allowed back into the building around 8 p.m. No injuries were reported.
