(Sports Network) - The Washington Redskins
(web | news) signed linebacker Robert Thomas on Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not announced.
The 28-year-old Thomas has played in seven NFL seasons since being selected by St. Louis with the 31st pick of the 2002 draft. He spent his last three seasons in Oakland and was also a member of Green Bay in 2005.
Thomas, who can play all three linebacking positions, was limited to just two games last year due to an early knee injury as well as a hamstring ailment that ended his season early. However, he played in 14 games and made 10 starts in 2007.
The 235-pound UCLA product has played in 84 games with the Rams, Packers and Raiders and has posted 304 tackles, two sacks and one interception.
