Montgomery County (web|news) police say rail traffic, including MARC (web|news) commuter train service, has resumed, but trains are traveling at a restricted speed in the area where a person was struck and killed by a train.

County fire department spokesman Pete Piringer says the fatality was reported about 6:20 a.m. north of the Garrett Park station between Rockville and Silver Spring.

The tracks are owned by CSX.

Hovering overhead, NewsChopper 7 spotted the stopped Brunswick Line train. MARC passengers are being transferred to Metro.
