(Sports Network) - Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland cruised to a straight-set victory over defending champion Elena Dementieva of Russia to capture the Istanbul Cup, a final tuneup for the French Open. The second-seeded Radwanska posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory in Saturday's final for her third career WTA singles title and second of 2008. She also won in Thailand in February.

Radwanska has never lost in a WTA title match, improving to 3-0. She is also 2-1 lifetime against Dementieva, who had not lost in seven previous matches at this event.

The top-seeded Dementieva was trying for her 10th career singles title and second of the year. She previously won in Dubai back in March, and also lost in the title match in Berlin just two weeks ago.

"Against Agnieszka you have got to be really concentrated and really focused, because she has a great defensive game and the ball will probably come back. She didn't miss much from the ground and she did really well at the net today too; she just played really well."

Dementieva, a two-time Grand Slam runner-up, is seeded seventh for the upcoming French Open and will face fellow Russian Vera Dushevina in the first round at Roland Garros. She was the 2004 French Open runner-up, losing to Anastasia Myskina in the final.

Radwanska, just 19 years old, is seeded 14th in Paris and will play Mariya Koryttseva of the Ukraine in the opening round. She was a first-round loser in her first appearance at the French Open last year, but reached the quarterfinals at the Australian Open earlier this year.

Saturday's victory for Radwanska was worth $30,500.
